保麗龍加工又稱 “保麗龍雕刻機”或“泡沫雕刻機”，隨著泡沫塑料模具用途越來越廣，可以加工保麗龍模型的數(shù)控機床保麗龍加工需求量也越來越大。常規(guī)的保麗龍雕刻機有1325、2040、2540等型號，由于保麗龍加工整體尺寸較大，要求精度高，技術難點大，因此真正具備保麗龍加工生產能力的企業(yè)沒有幾家。

一，我們要了解保麗龍加工主軸的性能和功能，雕刻機的主軸電機也是很關鍵的，因為雕刻主軸電機是長時間連續(xù)工作的，所以如果雕刻主軸電機不好會很影響雕刻機的使用，比如電腦雕刻機的使用。保麗龍雕刻機功率更小也要是7.5KW的。

三，控制器一般也分為兩類:一類控制器只是做驅動，而其所有運算工作由電腦來完成，在雕刻機工作時電腦處于等待狀態(tài)，無法進行排版工作。另一類控制器采用單板機或單片機控制，這種控制器實際上就是一臺電腦，所以只要保麗龍雕刻機一開始工作，電腦馬上就可以進行其他排版工作，特別是較長時間雕刻時，該優(yōu)勢特別明顯。
